WDMCC & Meals from the Heartland are teaming up on Saturday, July 13th from 10:00 am to noon for the 2024 WDMCC Hunger Fight! Our goal is to package 20,000 meals that day, and with many ways to participate, we’ll need your help to make it happen:
Donations: The cost to produce one Hearty Pack meal is just $0.29 ($1.74 per six-serving bag). To meet our 20,000 meal goal, we’ll need to raise around $5,800 as a congregation. You can donate through the church office or via the “GIVE” tab at wdmcc.org.
Packagers: On the day of the Hunger Fight, we’ll need several volunteers to serve on the packaging lines, working as a team to fill the meal bags with each ingredient.
Bucket Brigade: We’ll need volunteers to help keep the packaging tables continuously restocked with supplies.
Set-Up / Clean-Up: We’ll need volunteers to help unload and load the delivery truck, set up and tear down packaging lines, and assemble boxes.
Meals from the Heartland is a Christian organization who believes that all of God’s children are deserving of the basic necessities of life, including a healthy and nutritious meal.
