Service Opportunities
West Des Moines Christian Church is committed to reach out to the world with God's spirit of love. We seek ways to share ministry with our members, our city and our world. We provide a variety of outreach opportunities that enable individuals or groups to respond to that call both locally and globally.

Youth Choir
Youth Choir is for all youth in grades 6-12. The choir rehearses from 4-5 p.m. most Sundays and sings several times throughout the year during both Sunday morning worship services.

CYF - Christian Youth Fellowship
CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship) is a youth group for those students in grades 9-12. The CYF is a community led by a committed and caring group of adults whose purpose is to make youth group a fun, helpful and safe place to struggle with the complexities of life and faith. This program builds upon the experiences and learnings from the Chi-Rho program. The focus of CYF is more attuned to helping students bring together their heads and hearts as well as their faith and current life situation. Activities focus on small group discussions, social justice action, use and development of spiritual disciplines, retreats and service projects outside the local community.

CHI RHO
Chi Rho (pronounced Ki'-row) is a youth group program for those students in grades 6-8. The focus and purpose of the program is to help these young people begin to explore their faith through fellowship, service, participatory learning and experiences appropriate for their physical and spiritual maturity. Fellowship and learning with a focus on faith application is the major purpose for this group. Activities include drama, local service projects, large group discussions, high-energy games and exploration of spiritual disciplines situated in a community of caring, supporting and nurturing adults and youth. The name of the group comes from the XP which are the first letters of the Greek words for Jesus Christ.
